Online Safety
Whilst working with your child at home, we understand you may be concerned about online safety and keeping your child safe whilst they are completing their school work. This page will be regularly updated to help to provide you with up-to-date information or concerns with regards to online safety.
In school, we introduce online safety to the children using the SMART idea as shown below. This is a good way to start the discussion of online safety with your child.
As a school, we are also proud to be members of the National Online Safety which helps to provide staff and parents with useful updated information about online safety. You can join the website via our school link and can access the latest information regarding online safety issues.
The Vodafone Digital Parenting guide helps to provide you with information on how to keep your child safe online and recognise any potential dangers.
The Vodaphone website provides additional information about supporting your child online and becoming a Digital Parent.
EE also offers a short course on being phone smart for both parents and children. It is aimed at children from year 4 however, the information from the course can be shared with younger children and is useful to ensure children are being safe using phones and also going online.
