SumDog

SumDog is an exciting and innovative piece of maths software that adapts itself to the child’s answers, increasing challenge when they are ready. Did you know, that just 30 minutes each week increases your child’s maths fluency (being able to recall maths facts without thinking)?  The questions all take the form of games and the children have loved earning coins and playing the games in their introduction to Sumdog.

Children from Y3-Y6 have received their login from their class teacher and can access Sumdog through the app.

Bug Club

EYFS and KS1 children will now have access to Bug Club which is an online resource giving your child access to a wide range of e-books. These e- books will be set as weekly Home Learning, with different interactive quiz questions to answer as they read.

All children will be allocated books that are matched to either the Phonics Phase that they are working on, or the coloured Book Band they are reading. This will enable their class teacher to monitor and track their reading progress.

Your child will be shown in class how to access Bug Club, find their texts and complete the quizzes.

MyON

KS2 children will now have access to myON, which is an online resource giving your child access to over 6,000 e-books. These e- books will be set as weekly Home Learning by your child’s class teacher, with each book ending with an AR quiz that your child must complete.

All children will have completed a STAR test in school which will ensure that all books on myON will be matched to their reading ability (Zone of Proximal Development Reading Range). This will enable their class teacher to monitor and track their reading progress.

Your child will be shown in class how to access myON, search for texts and complete the quizzes.
