Year 2 Enjoy an Autumn Woods Walk

Year 2 enjoyed a lovely walk in our local woodland as part of our learning about animals, their habitats and the countryside. The children safely crossed the road and explored the woods looking for signs of autumn, including colourful leaves and fallen seeds.

We searched for insects and discovered how the woodland provides habitats that give animals food, shelter and protection. We also stopped to listen to birds tweeting in the trees and enjoyed the sounds of the countryside.

The children showed great curiosity and respect for nature, making the walk a fantastic outdoor learning experience. 🍂🐞🐦🌳
