Summer 2 Week 7

Our first academic year as Starburst class is complete and what an amazing year it has been!

In our final week of phonics the children have been recapping and developing their previous learning from the past term.

In maths the children have been exploring capacity through water play. The children have been looking at full, half full and empty containers using visuals and maths songs to support.

In identiplay we have been focusing on ‘Dog with Pet Carrier”. During this activity the children are encouraged to follow a series of one-step instructions modelled by the adult e.g dog in carrier. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

As well as our learning we also had lots of fun this week. We had a party with music and fancy dress, a movie afternoon with popcorn, ice cream for snack and even a picnic outside in the sunshine. The children all had lots of fun and we are very grateful for your party donations.

We would just like to say that we are so proud of the progress the children have made this year. They have been a pleasure to get to know and teach. They really have done us all proud and we hope you all have a well deserved break.
