Summer 2 - Week 6
Date: 17th Jul 2026 @ 1:59pm
Another wonderful week in sunshine!
We have continued with our Space topic in both English and Science this week. The children have been using descriptive language and writing to describe their own aliens they have created. We have also been exploring craters on the moon and made our own using a range of different sized balls and flour.
In maths we have introduced 2D and 3D shapes to the children looking at their different names as well as their properties such as corners, sides and faces.
In Art we have been exploring a range of different artists where the children chose their favourite and made their own interpretation of their art work.
In cooking this week we made cake pops! We decorated them using chocolate or icing and a range of different toppings.
The children had to complete a photography challenge in computing, they had to find and take pictures of something red, something round, something small, something tall and then a friend smiling.
The children have had a wonderful term and we are looking forward to celebrating 1 more week with lots of fun activities planned!
Have a lovely weekend.
