Summer 2 Week 5

As part of our phase one phonics the children have been looking at a ‘busy picture’. The adults have been discussing what they can see in the picture and seeing what items the children can find.

In maths we have been focusing on pattern. The children have been using cotton reels to match and complete the pattern shown on the caterpillars bodies.

In identiplay we have been focusing on the sea. The children are encouraged to follow a series of one-step instructions modelled by the adult. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

Sports day on Thursday was a great success! The children had fun and engaged in a range of sporting activities. Thank you to those who attended.

Our afternoon sessions were spent cooling down with ice lollies, fresh fruit and water play in the shade.
