Summer 2 Week 4

As part of our phase one phonics the children have been finding ‘one the same’ in a range of objects e.g duplo, magnetic letters, different coloured bears etc

In maths we have been focusing on numbers 6-10 again. We have explored these through song, mark making with numicon and matching using puzzles.

In identiplay we have been focusing on instruments(tambourine).The children are encouraged to follow a series of one-step instructions modelled by the adult e.g tapping. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

In our afternoon sessions our main focus was fruit rolls. The children enjoyed selecting out their favourite fruits and fillings, wrapping them in rice paper and tasting these afterwards.

Marvel was our star of the week for incorporating her learning into play. Marvel sang our maths song whilst she was drawing squares and circles on the chalkboard. Well done Marvel!
