Summer 2 - Week 2

Date: 19th Jun 2026 @ 4:03pm

Another fantastic week in sunshine, the children have really set an example and demonstarted a high standard of behaviour.

We have been continuing with our space topic in English, revisiting our man on the moon story as well as exploring what a real life astronauts does in space. In maths we have been looking at our times tables particularly focusing on our 10's and 2's, ask the children if they remember which numbers we whisper and which we shout!

In art this week we have been looking at patterns, and the children explored the different patterns in our environment both inside and outside. Using paper and crayons the children made different rubbings of the patterns they found.

We have continued to practice for sports day in PE. This week the children have been practicing balancing a bean bag on a racket and also a penalty shoot out.

Food tech was very colourful this week! The children got to decorate their own iced bun, choosing what colour icing they would like and what toppings before delving in and eating our iced fingers! There was lots of blue mouths and hands.

We finished off the week with making Father's Day Cards and continuing our E books on the IPads.

Hope everybody has a lovely weekend!

See you next week!
