Summer 2 Week 1

Welcome back!

As part of our phase one phonics the children have been focusing on matching objects using physical objects, pictures and visuals.

In maths we have been focusing on big and small using physical objects, songs and visuals to help us with our knowledge and understanding .

In identiplay we have been focusing on man on car. The children are encouraged to follow a series of instructions modelled by the adult e.g “push car”. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

In our afternoon sessions our main focus has been painting. The children have been encouraged to explore with paints and colours on a range of materials e.g. cardboard.

The children have also enjoyed exploring their new playground and despite the dull weather it has been thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Harvey was our star of the week for having a great first week back at school. Well done Harvey!
