Summer 1 Week 2

As part of our phase one phonics we have been sorting objects by size, colour and shape using visuals to support.

In maths, we have been looking at numbers 1-5 and the children have been encouraged to put the correct number of cubes into the pots.

In identiplay, we have been focusing on musical instruments. The children are encouraged to follow a series of one step instructions by the adult e.g “tapping”. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

In our afternoon sessions this week we have been focusing on flowers and the different parts of a flower. The children have explored both real and fake flowers with magnifying glasses. We then painted our own flowers to end the week.

On Thursday, Marvel and Kameel attended the tea party in the hall for having 100% attendance last term.

Mujtaba was our star of the week for engaging well in group activities. Well done Mujtaba!
