Spring 2 Week 5

On Monday we had our Eid party in the hall. The children enjoyed listening to some music, dancing and playing with our equipment. In the afternoon, we had some party food in class to continue the celebration.

As part of our phonics focus we have been exploring some environmental sounds. This week the children have explored items in “Mrs Brownings box” in the tune of Old McDonald.

In maths, we have been looking at prepositions. The children have been placing items in, out, over and under using visuals to support.

In identiplay, we have been focusing on the sea . The children are encouraged to follow a series of one step instructions by the adult e.g “look! Fish!”. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

In our afternoon sessions we have been focusing on Easter. We made Easter cards using our footprints to create bunnies and used pom poms for the bunnies tails. We also made Easter nest cakes, which the children got to enjoy at snack time.

We had our final pony therapy session this week and we are so proud of how the children have engaged with the ponies. We will miss them very much!

Zakariyya was our star of the week for exploring new textures during art. Well done Zakariyya!

Finally, a big thank you to Theo and Marvel who both brought in treats for us to enjoy this week. We hope you both have a lovely birthday!
