Spring 2 Week 4

As part of our phonics focus we have been exploring some environmental sounds. This week the children have explored five different sound cards.

In maths we have been looking at shapes. The children have explored different shapes by matching them in the tuff tray and using a shape sorter.

In identiplay, we have been focusing on the farmyard . The children are encouraged to follow a series of one step instructions by the adult e.g “cow. walk”. The children can then begin to implement this within the classroom during play.

In our afternoon sessions this week we have been focusing on Eid. The children created cards by decorating the moon with a choice of tissue paper or glitter. Then on Wednesday we baked and decorated biscuits in the shape of either a moon or star, these were delicious!

We also had our visits from the therapy ponies and little bikers.
