Spring 2 - Week 2

This week in Sunshine the children have been hard at work as always. We carried on our landscape work in Art and this week they used different coloured paper to create their landscapes, cutting and sticking it on themselves. 

In food technology the children made savoury muffins. They worked hard to weigh out the ingredients and distribute the mixture evenly between the cases. Lots of the children tried them and liked them as well! 

In Science we sorted animals by what they ate. The children were able to explore the food and talk with each other about what foods they thought different animals ate. We found out that some animals eat just plants and fruit, some only eat meat and some eat both. 

We finished the week with World Book Day where the children all dressed up in their pyjamas so it was a very comfy day! We shared a book in the school library 'The Dot' by Peter H Reynolds before heading back to class to enjoy chocolate milk and biscuits. We then took inspiration from the book and created our own pictures based around a dot or lines. The children have created some lovely pieces which we will be creating our own Art gallery with just like in the story. 

Well done to our star of the week Mirhamza! You are trying so hard in your phonics which is showing in your reading. We are very proud.
