The children have settled back well into the school routines this week after half term and have once again joined in with some fantastic learning.

As it was Pancake day in the half term we celebrated it this week and the children had a great time. We not only had pancake for our weekly snack but planned, made and evaluated our pancakes in food technology this week. The children loved this especially the flipping of the pancakes!

In Art we began our topic on landscapes. Some of our children knew what was meant by a landscape and we talked about the different things we could see out of windows but that we would only take pictures or paint the interesting things we see. We then took it one step futher and thought about what it would be like if the sun wasn't yellow and the grass wasn't green. The children had fun playing with colour painting a landscape.

This half term in PE the children are exploring sensory circuits. This week the children learned of the 3 different stages within a sensory circuits alerting, organising and calming. The children enjoyed using the different equipment to explore these and explored creating a circuit of their own.
