Autumn 1 - Week 5

Date: 2nd Oct 2026 @ 2:59pm

I am so incredibly proud of Moonbeam this week! Every single one of them have worked so incredibly hard!

In English we have been focusing on poems, this subject can be incredibly hard for the children but together they have created the most amazing poem about Christmas! Before starting the children made a plan using words that reminded them of Christmas, we then used these to create sentences for our poem! Check your child's bag they should of come home with a copy of their poem!

In maths we have been focusing on length this week and by the end of the week all children could successfully and confidently use a ruler to measure a range of objects as well as make a range of educated guesses just by looking at the objects.

In art we have started working towards our self portraits looking at the different features on our faces and beginning to draw those features. In cooking the children have made veggies wraps and also enjoyed a session with the board games, sharing and taking turns!

A big well done to those who went swimming this week, the behaviour was exceptional and you shown such resilience in the water!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
