Autumn 1 Week 2

Hello,

We have completed our first full week in Starburst class and it has been lovely to see some new faces as well old ones. The children have all settled in really well into our classroom and daily routine.

In phonics, the children are focusing on their symbolic skills through role play and creativity. This week we have had a tea party as well as role playing as different occupations.

In maths, the children have been focusing on the song ‘five currant buns’. We listened to the song as a whole class before the children had the opportunity to engage with an adult on a 1-1 basis to complete their work task.

This half term in topic we are focusing on ‘me and my body’. This week’s focus was our hands, we used paint to create our very own handprints and fingerprints.

There have been lots of other activities/opportunities throughout the week which you can see in our pictures.
