Autumn 1 - Week 2
Date: 11th Sep 2026 @ 3:07pm
What a fantastic first full week we have had in moonbeam!
In English we have been looking at fiction and non fiction texts. We have particularly been focusing on non fiction texts. The children are confidently able to notice and re call the difference between fiction and non fiction. The children started to look at the specific details of non fiction texts and using facts about our selves we will begin creating our own non fiction books.
In science we have been looking at our bodies particularling focusing on the organs inside our bodies. We have been learning their names, their functions and their positions in the body. The children were very sensible during this lesson and demonstarted a very high level of maturity.
In cooking this week the children made their own toast! They completed an independent piece of work first highlighting what toppings they would like before independently using the toaster and putting their chosen toppings on before enjoying eating it!
On Fridays the children now receive an independent music lesson with Mr Paul, remember to practice 'donkey'!
I just want to applaud all the children in moonbeam for exemplary behaviour this week and producing some fantastic work! You all should be very proud of yourselves!
